Alejandro has more than two decades of experience as a Structural Engineer and is recognised as an international technical expert in earthquake engineering. He uses his deep expertise in forensic engineering to identify the extent of earthquake caused damage and carry out performance-based assessments. He is highly skilled in developing solutions for damage remediation, current building seismic capacity, and seismic strengthening designs using the latest technology and materials.

Alejandro’s high level of technical expertise includes performance-based design, precast seismic structural system (PRESS) technology, and the assessment and strengthening of reinforced concrete structures.

Alejandro thrives in technically challenging projects. He seeks to deliver innovative and sustainable structural engineering solutions that are tailored to his clients’ needs. Project highlights include technical support to Miyamoto’s United States office on significant projects, and contributing his time and skills to the New Zealand technical adviser team for the Recovery for Central Sulawesi project. This aimed to capacity build Indonesian engineers, specifically in their assessment of earthquake damaged buildings following the Central Sulawesi earthquake and was funded by New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).
