STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS


We are actively recruiting for Structural Engineers, and have opportunities in our Auckland, Wellington, Kapiti, Masterton and Christchurch offices for Structural Engineers at all levels and expertise.

As the demand for our positive, locally focused, innovative approaches to engineering and construction continues to grow we are looking forward to an exciting time of expansion.  Miyamoto being locally owned, with a well recognised international reach, gives a fresh and engaging client focused approach to engineering.  Miyamoto’s expertise is founded on our insights gathered from our active involvement and assistance with the aftermath of numerous earthquakes all over the world.  We use our expertise and knowledge to actively provide solutions across a broad range engineering projects.

At Miyamoto we genuinely care about the needs of clients and those impacted by disaster.  We are actively involved in international disaster relief programmes and driven by our purpose to help make the world a better place.  Our high-performance teams take a holistic approach to developing cost-effective commercial solutions that are practical, resilient and effectively manage risks.

Key skills and attributes we need to achieve our goal:

  • NZ relevant engineering degree in structural engineering
  • Experience in structural engineering and an understanding of NZ codes / standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Desire to collaborate and partner with clients
  • Eligible to live and work in New Zealand
  • A current NZ driver licence
