Charles is a Geotechnical Engineer with over 13 years’ experience gained in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has comprehensive skills in many aspects of geotechnical engineering.
Charles has contributed his specialist expertise to a wide range of complex projects. Highlights include: the geotechnical design of ground anchors as part of a significant Lake Wanaka development; several large land development scheme, and large infrastructure projects such as the Kawarau Falls bridge, the Te Awaparahi Bay land reclamation at Lyttelton Port and the State Highway 1 (SH1) reconstruction (following catastrophic damage from the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake).
Charles is highly motivated to challenge the status quo in engineering. This includes working with both contractors and clients to develop value engineered solutions. He takes pride in delivering substantial cost savings to clients at all stages of the project lifecycle.
