Geoff has more than 15 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. His capabilities include local government public spaces, commercial developments, high-end residential dwellings and apartment blocks, and the refurbishment of heritage buildings.
Geoff has comprehensive skills in seismic assessments and strengthening design projects. He is involved in the forensic examination of earthquake damaged buildings, and the repair strategy. This technical expertise led Geoff to be appointed to the Greater Christchurch Claims Resolution Service (GCCRS) Engineering Expert Panel and involvement in legal dispute as an expert witness.
Career highlights include design manager for The Carlin Queenstown (boutique hotel), Gouallou House Glenorchy (luxury residential dwellings), and stage design verification for the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom.
Focused on the bigger picture, Geoff is passionate about project lifecycle thinking and resilience of the built environment, and fostering the next wave of engineering leaders. Geoff is happiest when collaborating with high performing teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
