Isaac’s journey with Miyamoto began in 2015 when he joined as an intern Engineer from his native Australia. He enjoyed the experience so much he applied to work as a Structural Engineer permanently.

Isaac has extensive knowledge in the assessment and strengthening of buildings (including commercial and industrial structures), and design and construction of residential and commercial structures.

He has skills in damage assessment and reporting as part of insurance claims, having performed these for earthquake damaged buildings in Christchurch and Kaikoura. As part of his building strengthening expertise, Isaac’s skills include the analysis of reinforced concrete sections, and the 3D modelling of structures.

Isaac is collaborative by nature – he routinely seeks the input of builders and other contractors on his design. He is passionate about updating his technical skills, and keeping abreast of the latest innovations and techniques to provide the most efficient design solution for his clients.
