Right now, we are looking for a Senior / Associate Structural Engineer to provide technical delivery leadership and expertise to our Christchurch office and national team. This role will suit a Senior Engineer with a wealth of experience in residential and commercial building design. The purpose of the role is to provide a deep understanding of residential and commercial structural design. This role will mentor, provide oversight and contribute to new processes and systems that improve quality and delivery. As a business we work as a national team, which means you will provide your knowledge and skill set nationally, and flexibility for some travel is required. You will provide effective project delivery and demonstrate excellence. You do this through effective client communication, internal project management and application of appropriate technical solutions.
As a Senior/ Associate Structural Engineer, you will work on multiple jobs. You will work collaboratively with our team and our clients to understand the scope of work, the project deliverables, and our client’s businesses and strategic goals. You will have influence and oversight to ensure successful project delivery and resource management.
We are looking for:
- A chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
- 10 + years of practical application of principles and practices within a discipline
- Proven experience and a track record in a consulting environment
- Senior level experience in residential and commercial design and project delivery
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Sound judgement, initiative and ability to self-manage
- Excellent communication skills
